Under the green deal scheme there is every likelihood that renewable energy systems will be able to be obtained under the grant scheme.
Renewable energy is an ideal method of cutting costs for home heating, with increasing gas and electricity bills many home owners are thinking more about using solar panels.
Solar panel PV systems have been with us some time now, and are becoming more affordable. As such they are appealing under the scheme. Solar PV can provide you with free electricity by using the sun's radiant power which is collected by flat plate collectors (Photovoltaic).

Green Deal Insulation
The provision of adequate insulation in UK homes is one of the UK Government's policies under the Green Deal Scheme. The plan is to encourage homeowners, landlords and social housing to invest in insulating homes to a better standard. The scheme comes into effect late 2012.
What insulation am I entitled to?
A Green Deal Assessor will arrange to inspect your property with a view to establishing if you have sufficient insulation installed in the loft space, cavity wall insulation, if your walls have a cavity, solid wall insulation and adequate Draught Proofing of doors and windows.
Energy saving measures for domestic homes and small business:
Loft Insulation
Cavity Wall Insulation
Soild Wall Insulation
Green Deal Installers and contractors to fit your insulating materials.
Draught Proofing for doors and windows.
Double Glazing replacement windows. Fitting "A" rated double glazed windows reduces heat loss, and reduces energy bills to heat your home.
What will it cost for improvements?
Well the good news is - nothing, its totally free. The cost of installing the energy saving measures will be repaid through savings made on your energy meter.
Further information about the plan is available in the Green Deal Guide, which provides an insight into the workings of the scheme.

Under the scheme Renewable Energy equipment will be available to homes and businesses that qualify under the plan provided by MCS installers. Another useful site for solar energy installers www.uksolargreendeal.co.uk and for Solar Panels and Solar PV systems.
Green Deal Grants - How much will I get?
Up to £10,000 will be available for energy saving improvements, for insulating homes and renewable energy equipment (including the installation costs).
